Tom Harper

Tom Harper is one of Britain's most successful young film-makers. Starting his career in television directing episodes of Peaky Blinders, he then collaborated with Shane Meadows to direct three episodes of This Is England '86, before making the hugely successful adaptation of 'War and Peace' for the BBC. His first film was 'The Scouting Book For Boys', followed by 'War Book' written by Jack Thorne. Last year Tom directed the wonderful 'Wild Rose' starring Jessie Buckley ("a rousing, crowd-pleasing movie that promises to set hearts and heels pounding" - Guardian.). Most recently, Tom has directed the much anticipated ' The Aeronauts', another script by Jack Thorne, that re-unites Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones. The film premiered at Telluride Film Festival, Toronto Film Festival and premiered at the London Film Festival as the Mayor of London's Gala selection.

Tom directed his first commercial for No 7 through Mother, starring the ballet star Alessandra Ferri who is seen dancing with a hologram of her 18 year old self. Filmed entirely in camera, the commercial won a BTAA award and was selected by the APA 50.
