George Kane

George Kane is a writer, director and editor and a graduate of the National Film School in Dublin.

In 2012 he directed the multi-award-winning feature mockumentary Discoverdale which starred comedy rock band Dead Cat Bounce, and won Best International Feature at the Galway Film Fleadh 2013.

George’s self-produced comedy pilot Cinephilia led him to direct Channel 4 Comedy Lab piece Headwreckers. Since then, George has directed Phoebe Waller-Bridge's Channel 4 series Crashing for Big Talk and after directing Daniel Lawrence Taylor's comedy pilot, George directed the full series of Timewasters S1, which was commissioned by ITV2. George's other recent work includes Comedy Blap Lives of the Infamous, and ITV's Newzoids. Most recently George directed Oli Lansley's Flack starring Anna Paquin and returned to direct Series 2 of Timewasters.
